GF-1R contains whole sesame oil; the catalog excludes records limited to isolated sesame constituents when the whole oil cannot be attributed.

Even within a whole-oil category, cultivar, processing, specification, dose, route, and study model may differ. A publication that says sesame oil does not by itself establish equivalence with the oil used in GF-1R.

Acute injury models do not represent normal daily use

Cataloged sesame-oil studies use induced gastric or intestinal injury in rats, with model-specific pretreatment, doses, and endpoints.

One study used orally administered whole sesame oil before an acidified-ethanol gastric-injury challenge in rats. Another used two doses in an indomethacin-induced gastric-ulcer rat model.

These designs can examine mechanisms in those models. They cannot establish that GF-1R prevents injury, treats ulcers, or produces the same result in people.
