Kiwi leads this uncomplicated breakfast bowl, supported by unsweetened yogurt, oats, almonds, and ground flaxseed. The combination brings fermented food, whole-grain fiber, and several plant ingredients together without adding a long preparation routine.

Yogurt muesli bowl topped with kiwi, oats, almonds, and ground flaxseed

Kiwi gives this bowl its character, supported by unsweetened yogurt, oats or low-sugar muesli, almonds, and ground flaxseed. It is a compact breakfast that combines fermented food, whole-grain fiber, and several plant ingredients in five minutes.

Why this combination works

Yogurt and oats create a familiar base of protein, fermented food, and whole-grain fiber. Kiwi adds fresh fruit, while almonds and flaxseed build texture and broaden the range of plant foods.

  • The bowl requires no cooking and no added sugar.
  • Choosing plain yogurt and a low-sugar muesli keeps the sweetness fruit-led.
  • Almonds and flaxseed contribute fiber and unsaturated fat.

Ingredients

  • 180 g plain unsweetened yogurt
  • 40 g low-sugar muesli or rolled oats
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 10 g almonds, roughly chopped
  • 6 g ground flaxseed

Method

  1. Spoon the yogurt into a bowl and add the muesli or oats and kiwi.
  2. Scatter over the almonds and ground flaxseed, then serve.

Nutrition note

Nutrition varies with yogurt and muesli brands. Kiwi, oats, almonds, and flaxseed provide several plant ingredients, while yogurt contributes protein and fermented dairy.

If a sudden increase in fiber causes discomfort, reduce the portion and increase intake gradually.

Evidence notes

A multicenter randomized controlled trial studied two green kiwifruits per day and reported improvements in constipation and abdominal comfort in the studied groups. This one-kiwi recipe does not reproduce that intervention; the study is included as ingredient-level context, not a promise of the same result.
